Last Saturday was the perfect crisp fall morning for a road race. We pulled out of the parking lot around 7 o’clock and headed to Minocqua, WI for the 10th annual Rump Roast Run. Proceeds from the run benefit the Lakeland Rotary Foundation. It was a beautiful drive to Minocqua with fall colors beaming in the morning sun.
We picked up our race packets, did some yoga and enjoyed the excitement and energy that filled the air. At 9 o’clock the gun was fired and we were off! The 5k route took us around Minocqua Lake. The students did awesome and Linnea place 2nd overall for women!
After the race and awards, students had time to explore and experience the festivities of the annual Beef-A-Rama festival. They enjoyed a number of goodies including homemade fudge and frozen yogurt. It was a great day!
