At 7:00 am this past Saturday morning, twenty-six students and five CS staff members gathered amidst the beautiful, swirling mist. Excitement and energy filled the air as we climbed into our vans and made our way to Three Lakes, Wisconsin for the 22nd annual Nicolet Wheel-A-Way bike ride. Hot coffee and baked goods were provided at the gate to fuel us during the ride. Individuals had the option of biking an 18- or 36-mile route along lakes and through the stunning Nicolet National Forest. The sweet scent of pine and a crisp breeze added to the breathtaking views as we pedaled through the forest. Along the route, healthy snacks, refreshments and lunch were provided.

To my surprise, every student and staff member opted for the 36 mile ride, and finished! What better way to commend the ride than stopping at the Dari Maid, in Land O’ Lakes, for some ice cream treats. Students returned to campus a bit tuckered but enthused and very proud of their accomplishments. What a wonderful ride!
