A Visit from a Park Ranger

This week Katelyn Rennicke, daughter of Conserve School English teacher Jeff Rennicke and Meeting Planner/Alumni Coordinator Jill Rennicke, visited campus to give a talk to students about her career with the National Park Service, including the education and training that prepared her for the rigorous job of being a park ranger. Presentations by professionals in various careers related to environmental stewardship are an important part of how Conserve School strives to prepare students for life after high school. You can see more photos from a previous visit of Katelyn’s here – she spent up to ten days at a time in remote backcountry areas as a ranger in one of the largest wilderness areas of the country in Alaska.
