The Hunt

On our Earth Day visit to the local fish hatchery, CS2 students were witness to the power and the beauty of nature. A bald eagle was near the trout pond, waiting. When the fisheries manager tossed a fish out into the pond, the eagle swooped into action. English teacher and photographer Jeff Rennicke caught the action.

Conserve School students are fortunate to have the opportunity to learn writing and photography from Jeff, who frequently publishes articles and photographs in national publications. Two of Jeff’s  photographs of a sailboat in Bayfield will be featured in the June issue of Reader’s Digest.

Post and photos contributed by Conserve School Teacher Jeff Rennicke.

  1. Simply awesome!

  2. What is interesting is the the bald eagle has a banded leg so he must have been captured and tagged previously.
