Klondike Days

Jon, Maria, Lila, Ana and Rose stop for a Kodak moment.

One of the things that I appreciate about living in the Land O’ Lakes area is the abundance of local festivals and activities that the surrounding communities have to offer. This past weekend 26 students joined me at Klondike Days in Eagle River, Wisconsin.

Klondike Days takes us back to the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. A time when trappers, voyageurs, and lumberjacks were common in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Events held in conjunction with Klondike Days include: a rendezvous encampment, chainsaw carving competition, craft show, cultural exposition, lumberjack competition, and lots of great entertainment.

Here are a few pictures that I took throughout the day on Saturday.
