Conserve School Weekend Activities: Hockey

Student Adrian and Field Instructor and Eagle River Falcons team member Jeff Nemec give a thumbs up before the game.

Hockey is a very big deal here in the Northwoods, and Saturday night our students had the chance to see what it was all about at an Eagle River Falcons semi-pro hockey game. Our own Jeff Nemec, Field Instructor, is a team member. The ice arena was particularly packed because the annual pond hockey tournament was going on, too, and attendance was about double what it usually is for a hockey game.

Here you can see students getting ready for the game after dinner Saturday in the Gathering Space, painting one another’s faces with team colors.
