Conserve School’s Annual Spring Pancake Breakfast

The Clark family enjoys the Conserve School annual pancake breakfast.

On a sunny summer-y spring morning, we always throw a big out-of-doors pancake breakfast party to celebrate the end of the year, the beginning of summer, and a successful syruping season. Staff members make hundreds of pancakes on grills in the outdoor commons area, and we enjoy them with sausages (vegetarian and nonvegetarian) along with Conserve School maple syrup. This year we held the breakfast a few days before graduation, so some of our students’ families could join us. Enjoy the photos below, taken by Conserve School student William.

Students Matt, Mariah, and Rachel (on the left) and Field Instructor Polina Makova, Student Services Coordinator Kim Spagnoli, students Ben and Kate (on the right) enjoy the breakfast picnic together.

I'm waiting for my grill to warm up so I can start the pancakes.
