Conserve School Students Plan Haiti Benefit

A Haitian family in the town that Dr. Schindelholz visits each year.

Conserve School staff members and students, with the help of local dentist Dr. Pete (Painless) Schindelholz, have planned a benefit to aid the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. The benefit dinner and presentation will be held on Tuesday, February 23, at the school. A traditional Haitian meal of red beans and rice, stewed pork, and salad will be served from 6 to 7 p.m.

Following the dinner, Schindelholz, who has volunteered his services in Haiti for the past eight years and was holding a clinic when the earthquake struck, will give a presentation including stories and a slideshow from 7 to 8 p.m. During his presentation, Schindelholz will be accompanied by his daughters and other community members who joined him on his recent trip.

Proceeds from the dinner and presentation will go towards relief efforts for the Haitian town in which Schindelholz holds his clinics. All Conserve School parents and friends are warmly invited to attend the event and to help raise awareness and funds for the relief effort in Haiti.
