Graduate fellow Pete Gizyn came up with a great idea recently to bring the whole Conserve School community together to decorate our campus for Family weekend. His idea was for everyone who wanted to participate to decorate a flag to represent them in whatever way they saw fit. The object was to be as creative as possible. Quotes or words of wisdom could be used as well as symbols. Any medium was acceptable, and there were many different mediums used. Some participants drew with markers, some used paint, and some used embroidery, while still others used natural materials as stamps. They are all up on the entrance to the Lowenstine Academic Building as a colorful addition to welcome all of the families to Conserve School.
